PBC Mandate

A Colorado Public Benefit Corporation

Nexus Protocol PBC is organized as a Colorado Public Benefit Corporation. We are evaluating whether long-term commercial value creation, public benefit, and environmental stewardship can reinforce one another through responsible governance, evidence-based decision making, and disciplined development.

As a Public Benefit Corporation, Nexus considers:

  • Shareholder Interests

  • Stakeholder Impacts

  • Defined Public Benefits

Our Public Benefit Focus

The governing provisions of Nexus identify three areas of public benefit:

Infrastructure Stewardship

Exploring approaches that support regional mobility, infrastructure resilience, connectivity, and long-term economic performance.

Resource and Energy Security

Evaluating opportunities related to water systems, energy resilience, and long-term resource security.

Social and Human Infrastructure

Exploring solutions that may strengthen housing stability, healthcare access, mental health support, workforce participation, and veteran reintegration.

The 7% Social Mandate

The governing provisions of Nexus establish a commitment to allocate seven percent (7%) of gross annual revenue to the proposed Colorado Care Campus Fund, supporting housing, healthcare, mental health, workforce development, rehabilitation services, and veteran support.

This structure is intended to create a durable connection between economic value creation and investment in social and human infrastructure.

Colorado Genesis

Colorado Genesis Phase 1A is the first structured validation program through which Nexus is evaluating these public-benefit objectives. The program is designed to assess technical, economic, legal, environmental, governance, and institutional viability before any future advancement is considered.

The purpose of Phase 1A is not to assume outcomes.

The purpose is to determine what the evidence supports.

Our Guiding Question

How can commercial value creation, regional development, environmental stewardship, and human well-being reinforce one another over the long term?

Nexus believes that question should be answered through evidence, not assumptions. Colorado Genesis exists to help evaluate that question responsibly and transparently.
